I Love this loader, it is extremely durable, and the 3 speeds are a nice feature too! The only downfall is that it is LOUD!!! but overall amazing!!

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly solid   December 12, 2008

I admit, I bought this used at a garage sale. Not having 9v batteries on hand (DON'T try this at home!) I converted it to eat a pair of 123a lithium cells, at about the same operating speed as a 9V - it gave me a calculated 13.5 BPS based on time to empty a 200 round feed tube, and about 9 BPS on low. Noisy, no sensors or battery-savers, but the cheapest Halo loader is about $60 and I could get a pair and a spare for that. For being solidly built, very affordable, more than fast enough for most, and surviving my tinkering attempts without even blinking, I was going to give this four stars. But to be honest, I can find no fault with it - for its price range, it offers the best bang for the buck. I gotta give it five.

4 out of 5 stars did not jam   August 14, 2009

*disclaimer--I haven't done any research about hoppers except for the Q loader.
Mid or back players with a tight budget--recommended. I tried it full-auto on my sp1 (11balls per second) on one game and I DID NOT NOTICE a jam at all. It's really durable and the lid is better than the tippmann rental marker loaders so u dont have to slam it shut over and over to keep it secured. But if you are the type of player who likes to get really close to opposing players without being detected this is the worst loader for you. The spinning noise does not stop until it is shut off, juz like the description says. I lost a couple of sneak kills because i forgot to turn it on(my fault) because it doesn't load if turned off too, so really, no chance to sneak close if the hopper is on, especially if you tend to forget under pressure like me. If it does shoot it's because you had a ball loaded already before you shut it off. Also before the game I had a feeling the size would be a problem. And it was. It's too big! Like having two heads for the bad guys to shoot at whenever you pop up your head to return fire!
I give it a four because I feel it would work well for MOST players and because of the price. Juz coz it don't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. Some field have the 20feet surrender rule. Trust me, your hopper's noise will give away your position even from that far if it's at full speed. If you don't plan on lunging in anyway and instead prefer range combat, its pretty good for its price.
